Is it disrespectful to highlight a Bible?
No, if it is a Bible that you are borrowing from the library. That sounds like a lot of No’s but for the most part, this question is referring to our own personal Bibles. We’ll use most of our time here to share ideas of how we can write in our Bibles. There is nothing inherently wrong about writing in your Bible.

Identify the verse number.
This number should come after a colon (:). In the case of John 3:16, 16 would be the verse number. If you’re looking up a longer passage, there may be two numbers, separated by a hyphen (-). For example, in John 3:16-18, you’re looking for verses 16,17, and 18.

How much should I read the Bible a day?
That should be no more than 12 minutes per day. However, you may wish to spend some extra minutes pondering God. So I’ll recommend 15 minutes reading every day. And always remember: when reading the Bible, don’t take everything literally, as it’s very likely that whoever wrote it was being metaphorical.
Is it okay to write in the Bible?
No, as long as you are not marking or writing in your Bible to deface or desecrate it, there is nothing wrong when you do so with good intentions. Some folks don’t write in their Bible because they feel weird about it — don’t worry; you aren’t defacing or treating the Bible as common. No way.
